But then if we think about trends within this region, can you tell us about maybe one ad tech or martech trend in the Middle East right now that you think people outside of the region are completely misunderstanding?

I think there are some stats that are being showed around that are starting to break that.

We don't really understand how audiences in this market work and what gets them going.

First of all, we talked at length about the mix of being proud to be here and also having our own identities.

Yes, it's a very social media heavy market, but no one spends, you know, 70, 80% of their time that they have on social media.

We, on the other hand, because it's such a mobile heavy market, we do love organizing our life on WhatsApp.

That's something that no one understands that you can do your entire life on WhatsApp.

But because of all that, and because of how mobile heavy and WhatsApp heavy it is, we don't want to be spammed.

But we are quite spammed in this region, which also means our radar for, if you don't mind me saying, BS is very high.

So I think the most misunderstood thing about the Middle East is how audiences work, how to reach them and how to be relevant.

And the quicker we get the right tools to understand how to reach our audiences and to understand how to catch them in the right moment... on the right platform, the better advertising will become.

And also from those of us in ad-tech side of the industry, the better this market will be, right? Because the better tools and the more interesting projects will come along to actually measure all this.
