Trevor shared that Luca was one of the two best Lakers last season on turnovers per possession, 68th percentile in the league, which is good.
Preseason turnovers have been rough, but once things settle, are the new guys better than the guys we lost? So this is a turnover specific question to the Lakers fans.
I had this conversation around Luka for the entire time that we did Lakers Collective last year.
If his three-point percentage dips below 35, they can kind of function as turnovers sometimes.
And then when he has live ball turnovers at the top of the key, they tend to lead to runouts.
It's less about the, like Luka does have enormous usage and I expect him to be a somewhat high turnover player, but there's a big difference between averaging three and a half and averaging four and a half.
So I think the second part of this was more so comparing like the new Lakers versus the old Lakers in terms of the supporting cast and like their turnovers.
Because like Grimes, for example, has he up until the last game had more turnovers than assists through like the first four preseason games.
So it's like what LeBron, Marcus, Luke and Rui versus Grimes, Mamou, Sexton, Zaire, Matisse, i mean maybe that they'll have fewer turnovers i guess that would also come from less usage from the new guys comparatively to lebron in particular but even you know to a lesser degree maybe marcus who handled the ball a ton i think it'll be close i'm not too concerned with the turnovers their 17th last year i think they'll be somewhere in that like 15 to 20 range uh then next one from pinty thank you for the super chat happy birthday jovan greetings from germany appreciate that and shout out to germany Brawny and DK in two seconds for Bilal Koulibaly or one pick for Tristan Vukcevic.
I think they're going to waive Dalton and we're about two and a half hours from the deadline for them to make the roster decision.
I just don't like I don't know if Bilal Koulibaly is worth two seconds, even with attaching Brawny and DK.
I wouldn't mind them taking a swing on him, but they have three seconds to trade total.
And if you're using two of them on Bilal, who there is a world in which he's a back-end rotation guy or not even potentially in your rotation when fully healthy.
That, to me, would be a little disappointing if you just waste like you're almost spending the capital to get off Brawny and Dalton.
