And first of all, before we go into talking about the second round of phase of games, what's your overall views, Andy Bass, of the World Cup tournament so far, in terms of particularly on the pitch anyway?
Most of the games, I've watched quite a few games, and I've pretty much enjoyed most of them.
But to be honest, I'm just making do with the 15-minute highlights when I wake up to sort of catch up in the morning on the games that I miss.
There's been some excellent goals, some really good defending, some great goalkeeping.
um lots of great lots of great storylines have been you know some of the unfancy teams have definitely justified their inclusion in the tournament and annoyingly likely the expansion seems to have been a success i think there's a couple of teams which may be this is a tournament too far for them and they're not up to the required standard but but but on the whole like new names have been emerging as as ones to watch and uh and provided us with some great entertainment.
I mean, we've now got like a little sort of side quest about who's going to win the Golden Boot.
And given the personalities involved, I think they're all going to take it quite seriously.
So I think that there is going to be some competition for that so it's all very exciting but yes I mean I think the football I think someone was saying about like the Qatar World Cup can football save this tournament from all the off the field controversy and even though I didn't watch any of it I understand that the football was very good in Qatar and the football did indeed save the tournament and provided us with one of the best finals that's the only game I watched And I would say that the football on the field is providing, is doing the same thing.
We seem to have seen a lot of games and we're still not even out of the group stage yet.
