And the supervisor of the field is Vitzadik, Vitzadik Emes, the one who supervises and manages and maintains, does all the maintenance work on the field.

And Rabbein Hazal over there makes a comparison between that and the concept of tefillah.

And especially when there's an assemblage of people, a million or more people davening together, and you have a shliach tzibur, the chazen, the one that's leading the tefillah.

The one, the sharecropper, who makes an arrangement to maintain the field of an owner is called yoireid.

This is very similar to the one who leads the tefillah, the Shliyat Sibur, where the Gemara and the Shulchan Aruch use the same exact term, as it says in the Gemara on Shabbos, page 24, the one who goes down to the Omud to lead the prayer.

So now the question is, why? Why is he called Yoireh, going down? Because this is his most important task.

In order to elevate the good that's found in those people who are furthest away from Hashem.

In order to elevate the good that's found in those people And that's what the Shliyat Sibur is also all about.

He corresponds to the prayer leader, the one, the chazen leading the tefillah, who makes the beautiful songs, the beautiful melodies.

Note, interestingly, that even those shuls that don't have a lot of singing throughout the year, but Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, there are special, special nigunim for all different parts of the tefillah that are very holy, very sacred.

Hashem should give them the realization to understand how special nigina really is.
