What I wrote in my review, though, is it's really entertaining that it almost seems like a goal for the filmmakers to write the most thinly-veiled plot that they possibly can to get Jason Statham in the situation that he needs to be in.

And it's, I think it's just because Jason Statham really is like the last stand, like for this kind of movie.

And I already literally forgot that the, another movie this year came out at the beginning of the year with him in it doing kind of the similar stuff.

I will say just off the top mutiny has like more, uh, like irrelevant plot things like they're, they're, it feels like it's just to pad out the runtime.

And he's going through like a, uh, company sale acquisition and then like the overarching villain is somebody that does not want this sale to take place um he runs a shipping company which is why big cargo ship aha but also there's like a separate thing going on where this captain of this ship also traffics People to other buyers that like to ship them to different countries or whatever, you know, human trafficking.

And that's when Jason Statham is on the ship and getting in this situation and having diehard on a ship.

which it's not, I wouldn't even say it's good enough to really say that it's Die Hard on a ship like that, but you have the formula of somebody outnumbered by lots of bad guys, and you also have Annabelle Wallace, who's essentially Jason Statham Light in this movie, and honestly pretty irrelevant, and she, again, she gets very thin character development as well, and ultimately doesn't really matter to the story and doesn't really add much.

Like the, what I said is like the point of watching this is like you watch it for like the stuff that's on the ship, the action sequences, whatever the ship antics is.

The stuff that's in the trailer where you're like, oh, shit, he picks up the he picks up the fishing hook or like the, you know, and he he also picks up just other, you know, things on the ship that are used as weapons that are like, oh, man, this is going to be brutal and entertaining.

The stuff on the either side of that, like in terms of the beginning of the movie, the end of the movie just kind of feels tacked on to kind of.

Run the runtime or pad the runtime and ultimately isn't really successful in this movie as compared to shelter where like you have like a little bit more of like the protective fatherly element, which is just a little easier to relate to as a person, even if you're not a dad or anything like that.

He's kind of just like this other CEO and he's just kind of on his phone the whole time.

The captain is really the villain of the movie, but that's where this movie also is a little bit weaker is this movie does not have kind of the villain that's fully hamming it up.
