The 2022 map is the one that lets Black voters in Kansas City maintain their power.

The 2025 map was drawn at Trump's urging to split up Kansas City and attach the three new pieces to white Republican counties.

Now, the Supreme Court had told Republicans in Missouri twice that they had to use the 2022 map.

They strolled up like, "So, hey," and the Supreme Court was like, "Oh my God." And Eighth Circuit was like, "Bobby, okay, okay, but hear us out.

What about the 2025 map?" [laughs] That's my really bad Linda Belcher impression, and I apologize for it.

So this past Friday, the Supreme Court issued an order that basically said, "Are you fucking serious right now? The 2022 map.

We said use the fucking 2022 map." As for the helping Black people part, Kansas City has one of the biggest Black communities in Missouri, and because the 2026 election will run on the pre-MAGA non-racist 2022 map, Kansas City gets to keep its district intact.

But they might not get to keep it for the 2028 presidential election, which is not great.
