That's it.
Now talking about sugar consumption, I had a lot on Friday night because I headed downtown Toronto to kick off the Riot Relay.
It was the first time I've ever run this event.
I had seen a lot of viral kind of clips about it, but had never kind of thought about running it myself until I got an offer from Jansen, who has previously joined us on the podcast where he talked about going from, I don't know, a 350 to a, I think sub-320 marathon in six months.
Anyways, he invited myself along with my other roommates from university to conquer the Riot Relay, which is a ultra trail...
No, ultra endurance relay I'd call it, where we had 19 legs to complete between downtown Toronto and Blue Mountain.
It was about 140 kilometers, and we were five people who ended up tackling it.
It starts at 10:00 PM at a party of a start line right on the water on Lake Ontario, and you go all the way up to Blue Mountain overnight.
We had rain, tons of fun, and yeah, many, many carbs, and then quite a few naps after the fact once we had crossed that finish line.
So yeah, great experience.
Would recommend it.
I'm, I've got the swag here to prove that I completed it, and I don't know if you can see the back of this shirt, but it's a pretty cool one.
Yeah.
Any questions about that, that sick event?
Yeah, that's sweet.
I mean, it looked really cool.
I think you were, you managed to post a, a story at the beginning of kind of that party mode.
I was like, "What the heck is going on here?" It looked like a super cool experience to be part of that, you know, a, that whole, that whole night event.
But I guess quick, right off the bat, like you said it started at 10:00.
When did you guys finish? How, like, how was it, how many people were there, and like, did you see a lot of people at the same time as you or like was it kind of just your group grinding it out?
out?Okay, let me bang out those questions.
So, yeah, logistics and, like, timing of the day started at 10:00 PM.
We got there around 8:30 for kind of the pre-party, and then, yeah, starts at 10:00 PM.
You're running straight through the night.
There's no breaks.
That's it.
