You know, you had the 49ers that were kind of the gold standard and you guys had to ...
You know, that was their compete, compete, compete, breakthrough, right? And you look at this Giant team, after one game, w- w- Bob and I are closer to it, but I don't think it's a fluke the way they're built.
I don't know if they're ready to ascend, but they are a team now that you can look at and say, from, from my perspective, now they're gonna enter the big boy league.
You know, they're gonna, they're gonna be able to do some things because the way they built and the way they go about it.
Um, how did that happen for you guys? You know, when you, like I say, you're playing- The 49ers, and they're the gold standard, and it's just like you just gotta break through, you know?
Yeah, I think it's, uh, n- number one, broke down to how the team is assembled, and kinda how the Giants are assembled right now.
You got a lotta young, good talent with a couple leaders in a certain, uh, like, you know, veteran leaders in certain spots that can kinda help those guys mature at a faster rate.
Um, you know, obviously your quarterback, your running back, you got a couple young guys or a young guy on the offensive line, or two young guys on the offensive line.
Um, and then, you know, that defensive front, um, you know, that's a, that's a scary thing.
Uh, so, you know, for us, it was maturing fast, maturing on an accelerated level, and then once you do e- end up having those wins about the, those teams that have been the, the gold standard.
Um, and then, you know, when you kinda st- you know, start having success, especially away, like you walk into Seattle and you get a win or, you know, you, you know, you walk into somebody else's house and, you know, you have a, a good performance and maybe not a convincing win, but it was a gritty, grimy ... like those are-
the games you gotta win, and you do end up pulling it out in the end, that's kinda when you start seeing that real turnover.
Um, and then those veteran leaders, you know, just, just leaning on them, getting guys mentally in the right spots for, for when things g- go the way they're supposed to go or, you know-
