Believe in Rams presented by FanDuel.
Rob HavensteinHOST
4:55
And so especially with offensive football, you need all 11 doing their job pretty much the whole time.
Rob HavensteinHOST
5:00
So that was my experience from watching the game.
Erin CoscarelliHOST
5:05
Here with Rob Havenstein, very familiar with the Los Angeles Rams.

Colin CowherdHOST

Well, our next guest, Rob Havenstein, 11 NFL seasons, a Super Bowl champ, a four-time captain, started all 161 career games, including the playoffs, incredibly durable.
Colin CowherdHOST
3:11
Uh, boy, Rams have had some good tackles, right? Whitworth, Havenstein.
Colin CowherdHOST
3:17
Alaric Jackson's undrafted, and that, that's rare to get an offensive tackle that plays at a high level that's undrafted.

Rob HavensteinGUEST
11:26
I mean, you're just so ingrained into your movement patterns, where going backwards basically with your other foot back, it just seems so foreign.
Colin CowherdHOST
11:34
Yeah.
Colin CowherdHOST
11:35
Rob Havenstein joining us.
Colin CowherdHOST
11:36
So Aaron Donald did not make the trip to Australia for the Rams.
Colin CowherdHOST
10:29
When you watch football, college or pro, in the first two or three weeks, be very careful about being too dogmatic and hyperbolic when you see bad offensive line play.
Colin CowherdHOST
10:40
Remember, we have Rob Havenstein on later, the great former Ram o-lineman.
Colin CowherdHOST
10:44
None of these starting o-linemen are getting snaps in the preseason.
Colin CowherdHOST
10:48
That's fine for a running back.

39 MINS LATER

Colin CowherdHOST
49:36
All right.
Colin CowherdHOST
49:37
20 minutes of smart football.
Colin CowherdHOST
49:39

Colin CowherdHOST
49:44
Rams are...
Colin CowherdHOST

20 minutes of smart football.
Colin CowherdHOST
25:28
Rob Havenstein, Super Bowl champ, uh, just retired, great tackle for the Rams will be joining us.
Colin CowherdHOST
25:34
Rams are...
Colin CowherdHOST
25:34
That game's not...
Travis RogersGUEST
11:05
Matthew Stafford is very skilled at knowing where the pressure is gonna come from and the ability to protect himself in that regard.
Travis RogersGUEST
11:12
But, you know, uh, Warren McClendon on the right side played most of last year, but this is the first time he's been the starting right tackle with Rob Havenstein finally retiring.
Travis RogersGUEST
11:22
And then you've got Alaric Jackson, who's been dealing with the little knick-knack injuries here and there, and obviously the, the looming suspension that I think most Rams fans thought was gonna come at one point.
Travis RogersGUEST
11:32
It hasn't, and it doesn't feel like it is going to.
Erin CoscarelliHOST
18:56
I will keep you posted.
Erin CoscarelliHOST
18:57
We're gonna have a post-game live show with Rob Havenstein.
Erin CoscarelliHOST
19:01
It's gonna be a good one.
Erin CoscarelliHOST
19:02
You guys need to get involved.
Brett KollmannHOST
48:44
Jimmy G, gone.
Brett KollmannHOST
48:46
Rob Havenstein, now in media.
Brett KollmannHOST
48:49
He was calling the preseason games with Jordan.
Brett KollmannHOST
48:51
With Jordan, yep.
Marcus WhitmanHOST
66:15
So I said neutral as far as changes to the offensive line.
Marcus WhitmanHOST
66:19
They are going to say goodbye to Rob Havenstein, who does retire.
Marcus WhitmanHOST
66:25
But he had been surpassed last year after he actually really struggled.
Marcus WhitmanHOST
66:29
You could even argue this is addition by subtraction just because he struggled.
Josh AmickHOST
20:31
The Rams didn't have a ton of losses this offseason.
Josh AmickHOST
20:34
They did lose a starting tackle, Rob Havenstein, to retirement.
Josh AmickHOST
20:38
They lost Akilah Weatherspoon and Kobe Durant, both in free agency, two players in the secondary.
Josh AmickHOST
20:45
But the Rams also had one of the weirdest draft strategies I've seen in recent time as a team that had such success last season and then had the offseason they did of these trade acquisitions and these players they added the draft just didn't make a whole lot of sense now a couple years from now this draft might make perfect sense and I could be wrong but their first round pick they drafted Ty Simpson they got a backup quarterback to Matt Stafford but Ty Simpson is currently ranked on the unofficial depth chart as the third quarterback on the Rams behind Stetson Bennett and Matthew Safford, obviously.
Jeremiah SirlesHOST
28:48
Warren McLendon at right tackle.
Jeremiah SirlesHOST
28:50
Rob Havenstein, the departure of Rob Havenstein is gonna be an interesting one here.
Jeremiah SirlesHOST
28:54
Warren's obviously played a lot.
Jeremiah SirlesHOST
28:55
But not having Rob is gonna be hard here.
