Let's go ahead and hop in because we have a very exciting episode for you guys today.
If you haven't read the thumbnail or seen the thumbnail already, we are doing a retrospective review of Chainsaw Man.
We're officially...
I mean, we're two weeks early, but we're officially one year post the Reze arc release, and yours truly had never seen it and was really behind.
Finally have gotten around to it, and we thought it would be fun with what we do with our show.
We're anime sympathetic here, and so we thought it'd be fun to do the review.
However, we always we're allies.
Yes.
But we always start our show with a important topic and an important segment, and that is box office.
So we will get to Reza Arc in just a second.
But first, let's break down the top five from this past weekend, starting with our predictions from this past weekend.
Jake leads the way again.
He wins again.
Even when I'm hot, he somehow finds a way to stick it out and stay in front.
Jake predicted Verity at one, Resident Evil at two, Digger at three, Heart of the Beast at four, and Primetime at five, and decided that he was going to do something awesome and get a bonus point after predicting that the Avengers movie would drop by more than 60% from last week to this week, getting that correct, earning himself a bonus point and pushing his season total up to 87 points.
which definitively leads the way.
I finished second, right behind him, with two correct after getting Verity at one, I predicted, excuse me, Digger at two, Resident Evil at three, Heart of the Beast at four, and Primetime at five, and I got Primetime correct, and I predicted that it would actually fall under, thinking that the Marvel heads out there would have my back, and they did not.
And then there was TJ who, for those of you who are new, Jake and I as a host, we compete against each other, but we also compete against the bot because it's us versus the AI and the robots anyway.
Then he had Digger at two, Resident Evil at three, Heart of the Beast at four and Endgame at five and then earned himself a bonus point.
So technically, I guess you could say we tied.
But in terms of the percentage points, TJ did get the least correct from this past weekend, earning, again, only one out of five correct, but getting the assumed 60% loss correct, so earning himself a bonus point.
That ties TJ and I at 80, again, to Jake's 87, so that be our score.
As we get closer and closer to Oscar season and awards season, things are heating up, so we'll see.
