Galen HochstetlerGuestNickHostgetting into some of the shotgun daytime stuff walk us into how do you approach your stand so when you're approaching a shotgun stand and I assume being in Ohio and stuff do you do any field daytime shotgun and stuff or are you always all right in the woods it looks like you're in the woods most of the time

But yeah, I mean, as far as how I approach a shotgun stand, I mean, it starts, for me anyways, it starts with locating coyotes.

That's a whole subject in itself, depending on how deep you want to get into it.
Take us into your locating process.

i mean just the basics of it or just you know drive around and find local coyotes and ground you can hunt or ground you're gonna knock for permission uh but you know it seems obvious to me but i've heard some people you know invite me or something and they're like yeah i got i know there's clouds in this block or that block if you're locate like you want to try and drop the most accurate pin that you possibly can um and everyone's terrain is different but you just gotta do it long enough you get a knack for gauging distances and everything i'd say being accurate with your own expense is if you're not accurate with your own expend you're not going to have as much luck when it comes time to hunt lot of the times people have days just like you have nights where coyotes are vocal and they scream their head off from you know you might hear a mile away um light up and then other times it's like you got to be right on top of them i'd say in the daytime you have more of those days where you got to be right on top of them you always see the videos of coyotes vocalizing um most times it's because you're already within a certain distance of them
