that we cover in Atum I do on the weekly group coaching sessions that we have in Atum Alhamdulillah that are like really impactful and help so many so let's go into it I want to first address what are the root causes of failure or fear of failure that show up and a lot of people don't realize it because when you say you have a fear of failure like what does that actually mean right what does that what does that actually translate to So having a fear of failure might be coming from, the root of it might actually be self-doubt, right? Self-doubt in your abilities, self-doubt or low self-esteem, and that's feeding the failure and that's understandable, right? So having a lack of or low self-perception of yourself or low self-esteem, this can fuel that fear of failure because you're doubting yourself and so therefore fearing the ability and what you can actually do.

The second root cause often of the fear of failure is perfectionism, right? We think that everything should be lined up exactly or that we should be absolutely perfect before we embark on this journey or before we can actually take that step.

And that is a form of fear, right? That paralyzed, that feeling stuck, that just I'm feeling overwhelmed and this can lead to numbing ourselves in so many different ways.

Something I deal with a lot when a client, especially in the professional space, where Supana, they're just so, you know, afraid of failing that really it's low self-esteem and certain abilities that they might or might not have.

And then Supana being paralyzed and not maybe showing up at work the way they'd like to.

And then the final root cause that I want to share with you guys is external pressure, right? This might be coming from society, from family, and this amplifies the fear of failure.

So, you know, when we think that our family has certain expectations or we think society says that, you know, by this age, I should be here or that, you know, if I start a new career path, unless I've achieved success overnight, like I am not good enough.

Um, that we hold on to and have told ourselves when starting a business or that, you know, if I fail, the whole world is going to hear about it.

Um, so much pressure that we put on from those external places that honestly are not valid, but inshallah we'll deal with that on another time.
