So one of the things I get so baffled about is that when it's really clear that inequality, poverty and the related breakdown of our societies is happening and getting worse, why does nothing happen? Because most of us, me included, kind of feel like, well, it's obvious, right? It's happening.

And there's a really clear recent example that shows that even when something's clearly a problem, it still continues to happen.

Like, the truth actually doesn't matter when the interests of the people with the most money and the most powerful people, those interests conflict with the truth.
