What are your least favorite toots?
Well, if you've listened to Pet Sounds, you probably know what my least favorite two are, at least.
It was kind of an easy option, and I felt bad choosing the easy ones, but I didn't want to just pick one to pick one.
Both pretty, but both no lyrics.
So they're just instrumentals, so they don't really have as much depth for me.
I know they have a place in the album, so I'm not taking that out, but they just ended up not being my favorite compared to songs with lyrics.
For me, like you have this harmonizing all the way through it.
Um, and then have the penultimate song be instrumental.
It kind of lost me.
And when the next one started, I guess, Caroline, no, um, I, I thought Spotify did its thing and shifted to another song, but, uh, so that was a little bit strange.
Um, my other one was not the other, uh, instrumental.
So that one I guess blended in with me because I didn't really realize it was instrumental until after the fact.
The other one for me was I know there's an answer and this one is really more about the placement.
So, coming off of song number eight there, God Only Knows, and before it, you know, Sloop John B, God Only Knows, you know, Sloop John B is one of their... super, super popular ones.
Um, a lot of people consider best, you know, we'll claim it the best ever pop love song.
And the first line is, I know so many people who think they can do it alone, such a stark contract, uh, contrast to the love song that it followed, you know, that was there in front of it.
And so, um, maybe it was a different song order.
Wouldn't have been there, but, um, just that and, and really about what the song was about,
you know,
um, it, I think it's a LSD trip.
