I Know There’s an Answer

Well, even, uh, s- you know, I, some of your vocals, it might be not well known that you were the original vocalist to some of these songs.

Like, my favorite deep cut on, uh, Pet Sounds is I Know There's An Answer, and I have to say for years I didn't realize that you were trading off the lead vocal with Mike and Brian.

I thought that was just Brian, that part.

Uh-

Um, you know, not a songwriter really, but, uh, a great singer and um yeah i mean his vocal on this song is pretty iconic so

we jump to the next song i know there's an answer and this is a very interesting song because this originally had a different title and different lyrics i just want to mention that before we get into the discussion because uh the song the song was originally called hang on to your ego

Well, it was originally called Let Go of Your Ego and then Hang On to Your Ego.

And I guess originally it was kind of more pro-LSD and Mike Love being the straight guy.
