Backrooms, I love Boosters, Fort Ross, and Bay Area hopecore

And, um, so that was, um, a couple of weeks ago.

There was a viral tweet from Ron Conway, the investor, about a video directed by Joe Talbot, and we all know this director from The Last Black Man in San Francisco, a 2019 movie about the city.

Uh, actually, I've met the-

[laughs]

...

the actor who is the main character at some party, uh, probably somewhere around COVID.

But yeah, great movie, but The Comeback City is, uh, is following a coyote, [laughs]

Mm-hmm

... as the coyote is running through every celebrity in San Francisco you can imagine, and it's kind of like postcard perfect.

And, um, I was really perplexed by this video and by the, yeah, association of Joe Talbot with this nonprofit, and St- Steph Curry is in it, so many celebrities, of course Mayor Daniel Lurie.

So, yeah, so what do you think about it?

Well, I love that they centered the coyote.

I think it's just so fascinating that coyotes are so prevalent in the downtown San Francisco.

I really love that they centered this animal perspective.

And, um, it reminds me of a recent coyote hero, actually, and I wonder if he, this coyote inspired the movie.

But there was this one coyote that swam to Alcatraz and lived there for a few days.

Do you remember that?

Oh, right.

And then-

I forgot.

Yeah.

It's amazing.

Oh my God, he was so, like, he gained eight pounds in three days or something like that.

I've h- I've seen the headline about that.
