August 2026 Astrology Forecast | Eclipse Season Begins!

So before I share the chart and we dive in chronologically, um, we should talk maybe just sort of the big picture of August.

Yeah.

Right? It's eclipse season.

Uh, so that's perhaps some of the biggest news that we have going on.

But of course, we had, whether you want to call it Barbault's Basket or the Cradle, the Basket pattern-

Mm-hmm

... um, we had these aspects perfecting so last month in July, and they're really still very close.

So that's going to continue to be active through August also.

And what else is there to say? We have some dignity changes that you mentioned briefi- briefly before we hit record.

So Venus is gonna come out of her fall of Virgo and into her domicile of Libra.

And by the end of the month anyway, we will have, uh, Mercury in Virgo in his domicile and exaltation, and we'll have the sun moving through Leo for much of the month.

Yes.

We also have Mars moving [laughs] into his fall in Cancer, right?

Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Um, yeah.

I think actually the-- there's kind of two main themes that I'm thinking of for this month, and one is what you were talking about with the Basket, um, or the Cradle, is that even though that perfected with the outer planets- You know, Jupiter and then the outers in Leo in July.

August is when we see Mercury and Venus, Venus in Libra and Mercury in Leo, becoming two of the five points on almost a six-pointed star, right? And so I feel like that's one of the themes, that whatever was happening in July with the, um, the, the overarching kind of contextual societal events maybe that show up with that basket in July, that now we have our mind, the planet of the mind, Mercury, and the planet of our heart, Venus, involved in that dialogue.

So maybe it's, it's a, a month of integration or personalization of that, those basket transits.

So that's kind of one thing I was thinking about overall for August.

And the second is, you mentioned eclipse season.

I feel like we have our final Pisces eclipse, and this is really closing out a two-year cycle.

Mm-hmm.

Our first Pisces eclipse was in September of 2024.

And not only that, but we also have another kind of two-year cycle that is wrapping up where we had Mars enter Cancer in September of 2024, and then-
