Louvenia Snother is a St. Paul artist who has been creating for years from natural products.
This installation, it uses, uh, six or seven different types of fabric, six feet long to two feet long, and, um, they hang from the ceiling and sway gently as the observers walk through the room, and it very much creates a feeling of a walk, a stroll.
She calls it a stroll through the prairie, and that is exactly what it feels like.
The colors, the textures, and the types of grasses that are visible on these, on this fabric very much create that feeling.
