The Minnesota 4-H State Arts Inn is a program where about 60 teenagers... descend on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and spend three weeks putting on a show.

It's a musical, which means that it is a series of big, all cast song and dance production numbers held together by the barest thread of a story and a little bit of dialogue.

For me, I was a small town theater kid and I had friends who were other small town theater kids, but it can be isolating.

And I like the idea that there are these theater kids coming from all over the state and meeting each other and finding new friends who are excited about the same things they are.
