Well, generally, sometimes it takes someone to say you can't do it for you to go, "Well, fuck you, I can and I will." And that, you know, I've been met with that all the time, you know? I was in my 30s when, when I started writing songs that became noticeable for people and record labels started calling, and people were saying, "You can't do it.

You gotta learn how to sing and do all these things." I'm like, "Well, fuck you, I can do it," and I did.

And you know what I mean? Those are those things that image-based music in the early 2000s became very, very cumbersome for people who used to...

And, um, do you find any of that stuff? I, I mean, any of that type of like, "Hey, you should do this and look like this 'cause then you'll become huge and famous"? Like, do you catch that?
Yes, constantly.
I think it's all...
It's, it's a pressure that a lot of people face, but I also feel like people are a bit, like, over that now.
Um, you know? I, I feel like there's still some people who, um...
And, and, and as an indie artist, like, I'm gonna do what I want anyway.

I'm gonna be doing what I'm doing over here.
