And you were talking about at the very top of the show that 4 million Americans are turning 65 each year.
And what does that boil down to? About 1,100 to 1,400 people, just depending on the day of the week.
I think we're past the peak now, but there's still plenty of baby boomers left who need to make their way to 65.
So let's talk about what what people are going to do in retirement if the paycheck stops and maybe they don't have you feel like they don't have a paycheck anymore.
Well, you don't, and there's been a historic change that has taken place because in the past, most retirees or many retirees, they worked in one job and they accumulated a pension benefit from that, which means that that pension then replaced the paycheck.
Little by little, and there are not many people who receive actual pension income anymore.
So the replacement paycheck of a pension is not there and you need to figure out what is it going to be? How do I do this? And there's a totally different mindset and there's different strategies and different uh different financial uh products that handle the paycheck portion rather than the accumulation portion which you've been uh doing all your life as you've been saving money in your 401k or ira accounts retirement accounts whatever they may be and um you've had a mindset of just putting money away but now you need to start relying on on an income stream.
And how do you do that? It's a different mindset, it's different financial products, and it's different kinds of strategies that will help you get there.
