Hal, what are the things – it's amazing, by the way, that you can talk like this even at 18, at such a young age still, and you've been through so much.
You've just seen all the homes that you've been through and the network of family relationships that you have.
You display incredible maturity.
It's really amazing to see.
Can I ask you what are the things that have – even if you have – Most people your age wouldn't be able to look back and say, here are the things that have helped me along my way.
But I think you might.
As you look back, even just the brief few years you've had, are there things that have stood out that have really helped you kind of establish a sense of self, of stability in your own person along the way, your foster family, others? Who's played a role?
You know, even if my parents didn't show up for visitations, my nan would show up and my nan would be there.
And during, you know, the holidays, uh, we would hang with her and, you know, do like Christmas parties and things like that.
Um, she's always been a really big mentor in the sense of regaining my memories.
what do you mean? What do you mean by that? Regaining memories?
Well, from a child's perspective, I feel like some memories are a bit tainted.
You know, from different perspectives, all things are going to be different.
But Nan's picture is a bit more clearer because she's, you know, she was there, but she's from an outside perspective, but also kind of inside because she was helping us.
But I just know it happened around this area at this time with these people kind of thing.
So she gives you, like, she's like a compass.
