Episode 016: The Home and Ten More: Martha Pino on AI, Robots and Generational Wealth

That's a fantastic question, but I'll start yet.

By the beginning, we first created VMR Homes, and VMR Homes, it's basically a home development company that we developed in Southwood, Florida.

I did it combining my name and my partner's name, Vianca.

So it's like Vianca and Martha.

So it's VMR Homes.

Love

it.

Yes.

And that's how that venture was born.

When we moved from Miami to the South Florida area back in 2020 during the COVID era.

And that led us to, as we got into the community and see what was needed, and especially the fact that we speak Spanish.

we found an area that is called Lehigh Acres, which is one of the city in Leigh County area.

And that's the area, geographically speaking, where we're most focused on to develop, invest, teach, and educate families in the area.

But then that led to for us to create a community that is called Tu Casa en Lehigh, which in Spanish is your home in Lehigh.

And then with that, we have had already this community.

We bring educating and empowering people, inspiring people in the Spanish-speaking community in Lehigh Acre for the past two years.

and now we are adding another division to vmware homes which by the way you are the first one first person that i'm actually talking about this extra leg of about vmware robotics publicly so you got the uh the first person that is actually knows about it and obviously you're going to be sharing this publicly and we are very excited for the simple fact that VMware Robotics is also going to teach and educate people how, as years come by, how we can integrate the use of robotics inside our homes.

Why? Because, for example, if we make a home more efficient, if we make a home more sustainable, and we can give time back to people through technology, that would be, again, for the family because now they will have more time to spend together and enjoy a better lifestyle

that's amazing i would love to have more time to myself so when you mention robotics in a home um so back in the days like my parents would say oh you mean a dishwasher so we're talking more and better than that right so what are some examples of a robotic home

Let me give you a very simple one and I think that the gentleman in the household that they need to cut the grass they would love this one.

At this point there is already a robot that you can cut the grass.

So imagine Saturday morning or Sunday and instead of you or your dad or sometimes a lot of moms have to do that.

be able, or even pay somebody, a company to be able to do that, that you can basically have your robot cutting your grass, and while you are very much supervising, let's say visually, so everything is the way you want, but supervising visually is very different than physically doing it.

And while that's happening, you could maybe start to fix a barbecue, play with the kids outside, or just simply sit down, has a enjoy your coffee or anything of your choice.

So that's an example when it comes to using technology or robotics in the household environment.
