These include sheep farmer Colin Currie, beef farmer Alistair Currie, Zoe Hughes of Wild Isle Venison, and a sustainability consultant and founder of Net Zero Arran, Alec Pirie.

The idea of collaboration rather than competition came up again and again, as did the idea of seeking to farm in a way that balances and aligns with the natural ecosystem, making the most out of resources that are available on the island and reducing the reliance on external inputs, factors all that sit at the heart of an agroecological and resilient food system.
