Building and Testing AudioTap4:40 – 28:15

4:40

Uh, I am diving in, uh, to a couple of things today.

4:44

Uh, first and foremost is, uh, Audio Tap Module.

4:49

Um, let me see if this will open up here.

5:01

Believe this just goes to the most recent one, so...

5:08

No. [laughs] Too easy.

5:10

Okay.

5:43

Did it not copy the whole thing? That's the whole thing.

5:49

Doesn't work.

5:54

Fascinating.

5:57

I think the other, uh- I think that the...

6:13

Like I have a browser, what do you call it, I guess profile or something? I have a streaming browser user profile thing and it must not be, my guess is that it's just not letting it access local host like this.

6:31

I wonder, well yeah, I can do this because I've done this kind of thing before.

6:37

Yeah, for whatever reason local host is blocked in that one.

6:42

Um, slightly annoying, but we could maybe try this.

6:50

Really just wanted to show the help page because it explains the module at a high level.

6:54

It's not super important.

6:56

I'll skip it and just look at the code, I guess, if I need to.

7:01

Or the doc strings, which is where this originates anyway.

7:04

There we go, that works.

7:10

This one's on PyCharm, or I guess I'm in CLion anyway, but this one's on the IDE, frankly.

7:15

It's trying to be too fancy for its own britches and it's trying to do this whole, like I never asked it to open a server, frankly.

7:21

It should just open the file.

7:22

But it's like, let me make a server for you and do all this helpful stuff and it turns out to break this.

7:27

But in any case, AudioTap module, this is what I'm working on.

7:30

So this is a module that would sit in the audio effects chain, just like, you know, the resamplers, the respeeders, the pitch shifters, all of those things.
