3D Hangouts – USB Desk Hub, Holiday Wreath and Caroline

I guess I'll just jump right into this week's project.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So last week I talked a little bit about it.

We had special guest Brent Rubel on.

We talked about marquee.

My guide was in moderation.

Now it's published.

So if folks have an IKEA Mitson desk and they want to customize it with a custom built-in embedded USB four-port hub with additional storage, you can 3D print your own hub and utilize that space for your own stuff.

So it's basically just this one USB hub breakout board.

It's $5.

And then four of the snap-in panel mount USB socket cables, which is really nice.

And just a cable to connect from your computer to the breakout.

And then you have, bam, four additional USB ports.

Yeah.

Pretty easy.

There's no screws needed for the project.

You just got to solder some wires.

Um, the circuit diagram, this is my first time using the circuit designer, um, app web app that, uh, Tyler put together.

It's really interactive.

You click on stuff and get an idea of what, um, what the things are, which is really cool.

So check that out.

I think in, in, in coming weeks, we'll have more detail on circuit designer.

But otherwise, all the wired connections are pretty straightforward.

And there's just four wired connections for each port.
