The Pasuk in Parshas Nitzavim says, Rashi points out that we would have thought after what we heard in the last couple of Sukkim that Hashem is going to punish us even for the sins of other people.

So how do we know what's in their mind? How do we know what's in their heart? How do we know that they're having...

So we're going to get held accountable, we're going to get punished for what other people do and for what other people think.

So the passage says, The people's thoughts that are around you, that's their own private thing and only Hashem knows about that.

However, the niglos of other people, all of Klal Yisrael, are responsible for each other.

That which is done outside of the head, that which is done physically, that which we can observe, we can see.

So we're responsible for each other, we're held accountable for each other's actions.

And so, if there are people in my vicinity, in my community, who are doing things wrong, then it's on me to help correct them, to help them see the light, to help them do the right thing, and to help bring them back towards the path of We're all interlocked, we're all interconnected in such a way that we're held accountable for each other.

If a person knows about an Avera happening, and he doesn't do his best to try to change that, even though it's not his Avera, he's also held accountable for such a thing for happening within his vicinity, within his proximity, people that he knows and people that he's familiar with.
