86:51
My question to you is, if that growth puts pressure on water or electric bills, what comes first, the project or the people?
86:57
So Stephen A., you gotta be honest, right? A- and look at it honestly.
87:01
So the, the House just passed, it was one of the only things that we've seen where you had almost unanimous support, I think only three Democrats in total in the House voted against the Ratepayer Protection Act.
87:12
And the Rate Pa- payer Protection Act would have made sure that energy costs weren't increased by the, the data centers going into the local community, that they were using, the new ones, recirculating water that used less than your average golf course or your average bakery, that they were not being put into the backyards.
87:31
Those are the things that most of, you know, the local people that are against them care about.
87:35
But when you look at Arizona, $27 billion last year into our GDP just from data centers, a billion dollars of tax revenue coming into the state.
87:45
When you wanna raise teachers' salaries, when you wanna do projects to get rid of homelessness, when you wanna do all these different things, you have to bring revenue in.
89:03
But what about an undocumented immigrant who works, pays taxes, has no criminal record? Where do you stand on such a person being in the state of Arizona, sir?
Blake Neff
Blake NeffPANELIST
25:20
Yeah
25:20
... to keep the House.
25:21
And, and we know the difference that this country will look like if Republicans keep the House and we're able to then go forward the next two years and continue all these plans that are having positive impacts on our coun- country.
25:34
Reshoring manufacturing, resetting trade parameters, the lowest crime in 60 years.
25:39
You know, the tax cuts, you know, to all the individuals, you know, mostly which are, are for people that are making less than $100,000.
25:45
You know, all, all these measures that you can look at and say, "Hey, the country's on the right track.
25:49
We're doing the right things," even though, you know, we want inflation to be lower and we want costs to come down for the average individual.
Blake Neff
Blake NeffPANELIST
26:15
Like, their entire long-term agenda is make gasoline more expensive, make energy more expensive.
33:10
Yeah
33:11
... to keep the House.
33:11
And, and we know the difference that this country will look like if Republicans keep the House and we're able to then go forward the next two years and continue all these plans that are having positive impacts on our coun- country, reshoring manufacturing, resetting trade parameters, the lowest crime in 60 years, you know, the tax cuts, you know, to all the individuals, you know, mostly which are, are for people that are making less than $100,000.

You know, all, all these measures that you can look at and say, "Hey, the country's on the right track.
33:39
We're doing the right things," even though, you know, we want inflation to be lower and we want costs to come down for the average individual.
33:45
But the answers on the other side are all higher taxes.
33:48
I heard Mark Kelly say it yesterday.
34:05
Like, their entire long-term agenda is make gasoline more expensive, make energy more expensive.
61:34
Okay, I mean, it has to be done, right? 20 to 8% cut?
61:39
Yeah, you'll have about a quarter cut to the benefits if nothing is done.
61:43
And it needs bipartisan work because you have to have 60 votes in the Senate to address Social Security and do anything.
61:49
So you have to work across the lines and bring people in and find common ground to be able to deal with Social Security.
61:56
Medicare, you know, mid-2030s, that's going to be insolvent as well.
62:00
And so those are issues where you're going to have to have bipartisan support to do something and to fix those.
62:06
You know, you go back to Social Security, you go back to when Bush ran the very first time.

9 MINS LATER

71:19
I was talking to this grandmother
95:01
What is the vision that you have specifically for Arizona? What all is needed there that you would like to help bring about?
95:07
Well, my district in particular is one of the wealthier districts in the country.
95:10
It's one of the most educated districts, so we need to continue to bring jobs and businesses into Arizona.
95:16
We're growing tremendously.
95:17
We're, we lead the nation in, in chips production.
95:20
You know, we're one of the top defense industries.
95:22
Certainly, healthcare is a big, uh, driver in the economy there.
95:56
Mm-hmm
34:48
Sure.
34:48
And you're talking, you know, 60 million people who have taken advantage of that.
34:52
You know, and so you start there.
34:53
Real wage growth.
34:54
President Trump, in both his terms, has had real wage growth.
34:57
President Biden had stagnant wage growth.
34:59
And so trying to create a better economic environment for the individual person to have a better job, to, to get more take-home pay, and to keep more of that at home.
37:24
Is it a mistake?
22:50
Mm-hmm.
22:50
The trillions of dollars that they spent trying to do that.
22:53
I think their intent was the right intent.
22:54
I wanna make this country better.
22:56
I wanna be, uh, less reliant on fossil fuels.
22:59
I, you know, we want renewable energies.
23:01
We're gonna encourage wind and solar, and we wanna change to renewable energy.
25:34
What do you think makes Congressional District 1 unique among Arizona's congressional districts? Obviously, it's unique from all of the other congressional districts around the, i- you know, in other states, but what makes it different?
speaker_0HOST
1:43
Tell us a little bit about it, and is there a personal story behind it for one of you?
1:47
Yeah.
1:48
So I wrote Home Forever, as my brother and sister had emigrated to Australia last year.
1:54
So I was sitting in me brother's room, just started playing a couple of chords, put it all together, and I just thought I'd dedicate it to those two.
2:01
And they've been away for quite a while now, and it's just about, you know, missing home, everyone here at home missing them.
2:06
Just that's the kind of feel I was going for.
speaker_0HOST
2:42
I have kind of scrolled through your social media a little bit over the last few days, and you've gained a bit of, a bit of traction there over the last while, but how important do you think social media is nowadays for a growing artist or for any artist in general?
2:55
Unfortunately, I think it's your main avenue for gaining traction.
33:01
It's always been a red state.
33:03
Well, Hugh, you just brought up a bunch of guys supporting our campaign and grateful for what they've done for this state.
33:09
My wife, who is a former teacher, you know, we've always been I was on the school board.
33:13
So we've always been big advocates of school choice and the ESA program and giving low income people the opportunity to choose where their kids go and to put them in private schools that they want to to give them the choice to be able to help their kids.
33:26
And, you know, I love that about this state and we need to make sure that we protect it.
33:31
And I do think everybody is coalescing because we do know when you look around the country and you look at New York and those three House seats in Colorado and Pennsylvania and the D.C. mayor, so many people, Michigan, and it's happening now, so many people getting elected that believe in Democrat socialism, that believe in the.
33:49
changing the foundations of what our country has stood on, abolishing prisons, abolishing borders, getting rid of the Senate, getting rid of the Electoral College, stacking the Supreme Court.
36:34
Why did you guys settle in Phoenix, in Scottsdale?
23:41
And it's not just about being the best in the position, but who is the person that they trust, and who is the person that can articulate their views, and your teammates selected you to be one of those people.
23:53
Yeah, you were, you know, you were chosen by your teammates, which always is really special.
23:57
You know, whether that was as a captain, which was the greatest honor that I, that I ever received, being chosen as a captain to be one of the leaders.
24:04
But also a- as a player rep, to go there to represent all 53 guys on your team.
24:09
And really, not only the current players, but the future players, and then the former players as well, because you are the one that's gonna sit in front of those owners across the table from them, negotiate during the CBA extensions or the lockout like we had when I went to the federal mediation building in DC and continued to negotiate with the owners.
24:29
I think that's one of the reasons why a number of owners decided to support my campaign.
24:34
Even owners like Arthur Blank, who, you know, is a Democrat and only supports Democrats.

7 MINS LATER

31:14
When you go out and talk to people in Arizona, in the First Congressional District there, what is it that you tell them is important to you that you wanna be able to accomplish as a member of Congress?
38:49
So tell us about your opponent now in the general, and what we would get if we don't get Jay Feely over the finish line in CD1 for Arizona.
38:58
Well, I think it's pretty interesting.
39:00
If you go back to this primary, the Democrats spent about $7 million just in this primary.
39:05
They endorsed Marlene Woods.
39:06
They did not endorse Dr. Amish Shah.
39:08
They spent a ton of money against him, you know, a- and, and they wanted somebody who they felt would fit this district more, somebody who was more moderate, and they didn't get that.
39:19
And, you know, they, they got Amish Shah again, who ran two years ago against David Schweikert, lost 52-48.
43:00
So, uh, what, what are the action items for people listening, Jay?
62:18
So tell us about your opponent now in the general and what We would get if we don't get Jay Feely over the finish line in CD1 for Arizona.
62:28
Well, I think it's pretty interesting.
62:29
If you go back to this primary, the Democrats spent about $7 million just in this primary.
62:34
They endorsed Marlene Woods.
62:35
They did not endorse Dr. Amishaw.
62:38
They spent a ton of money against him.
62:39
And they wanted somebody who they felt would fit this district more, somebody who was more moderate.
66:30
So what are the action items for people listening, Jay?
3:27
What's the message that resonates with everyone?
3:30
Well, you have 60,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats, but you have 180,000 registered Independents.
3:36
You know, so you have to win half of the Independents.
3:37
I think whether you're a Republican or, you know, a Democrat or an Independent, you care about the economy, and you care about affordability, and you care about the future for your children and your grandchildren.
3:47
You know, that's why I wanted to get into politics.
3:49
Creating the right avenue for success for individuals.
3:52
I believe government is supposed to be about security for the people and then creating the right avenues so that you can be a success, and you can have hope for a future.
8:05
W- uh, what needs to happen to address Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and making sure that those programs are there for the people that have been paying into them for their entire lives?
3:27
What's the message that resonates with everyone?
3:30
Well, you have 60,000 more registered Republicans and Democrats, but you have 180,000 registered independents.
3:36
So you have to win half of the independents.
3:37
I think whether you're a Republican or even a Democrat or an independent, you care about the economy and you care about affordability and you care about the future for your children and your grandchildren.
3:47
That's why I wanted to get into politics, creating the right avenue for success for individuals.
3:52
I believe government... it's supposed to be about security for the people and then creating the right avenues so that you can be a success and you can have hope for a future and i think too many young people around our country don't have a hope for the future that's why you're seeing this push towards democrat socialist that's why you know the democrat party is embracing that because young people if they don't believe that they can be a success individually then they throw their hands up in there and then they say i want government to do it for me the problem is is that when you look at the democrat socialists like they believe in fundamentally changing the very structure and foundation of our country they want to get rid of the senate they want to get rid of you know the president being elected you know by uh the electoral college they want to get rid of borders they want to get rid of police like they fundamentally want to change our country and you know amisha believes in a lot of those same principles they want to get rid of prisons
8:05
What needs to happen to address Medicare, Medicaid, social security, and making sure that those programs are there for the people that have been paying into them for their entire lives.
8:13
so we have 40 trillion in debt growing at a trillion every hundred days and to be honest with you we can't neither party has had any desire and will to do anything about that the only way you can address the debt is to truly have gdp over five percent and inflation under three percent and grow your way out of it because nobody has the will to cut spending you know you think about covid we massively increase spending with the uncertainty of covid And then COVID was over and we didn't say, okay, let's go back to pre-COVID levels.
7:50
it puts it in the context of just how nasty it is.
7:53
So we've been married 28 years.
7:55
We got four kids of our own.
7:56
Um, we have two kinda bonus kids that we brought here from Haiti that we consider part of our family as well.
8:02
And, and then we got four grandkids.
8:04
And, you know, we've moved all over the country as I played on six different teams, and settled out here in Arizona.
8:10
And, you know, Rebecca became a teacher and, and was anatomy and biol- biology teacher, teaching in a, in a Christian school.

24 MINS LATER

32:44
Somewhere in the middle?
25:35
I would imagine in a state like Arizona, even though you have a Democrat governor, I don't think that's gonna resonate very well with Arizonans, but is it?
25:44
No, it's certainly not.
25:46
I mean, the Democrat Party continually puts the protection of Americans behind the protection of illegals.
25:53
You know, they put politics before protecting our American citizens, and they need to be called on the carpet.
25:58
And if the media were fair, they would ask them every day about their willingness to have open borders.
26:03
They would ask them every day about the Americans that have been raped and killed by people who shouldn't have been here, who the Democrat Party and the Biden administration willfully allowed to come across the border, gave them asylum, allowed them to be, quote, lawfully present, changed the verbiage so that [laughs] they could get on welfare and get SNAP, and then didn't allow them, and make them stay in Mexico, allowed them to come here, and, you know, most of those cases take five to seven years to adjudicate.
26:29
And then they're here, and then they're utilizing American taxpayer dollars a- and hurting Americans.
29:27
Is it gonna help you?
40:59
Is this an election where the party, the Democrat Party, might get a painful lesson?
41:04
I sure hope so.
41:04
I mean, that's why I'm running for office.
41:06
You know, that's why I left broadcasting and a great career where I only had to work five months of the year to come and try to represent the people of Arizona and to go to Congress.
41:15
We need more people who are going there not to enrich themselves, truly want to be those civil servants and have the courage to stand up and fight for the principles that Americans believe in.
41:24
We believe in equal opportunity.
41:26
We believe that Americans should have the right to go after their dreams.
45:18
Tell us about it.
73:46
What is the number one issue facing this district right now?
73:49
now?Well, I think around the country, but especially in our district, the economy and affordability is always gonna be, you know, one of the most important issues.
73:59
You know, you look at the economy, you look at safety and protections, keeping our borders secure, um, making sure that we have confidence in our elections, and getting rid of fraud.
74:08
Like, those are the four things that I think are most important to people here in CD1 and in Arizona, and really around the country.
74:14
And, you know, those are the things that I wanna fight for, that I wanna make sure that we have an econom- an economy that works, that we do bring down, uh, the affordability crisis and costs for local consumers by getting rid of regulations, by creating real wage growth, and creating a better economy with better opportunities and better jobs, and lowering the cost of, of buying homes.
74:34
When you look at young people today, you know, the ability for them to buy a home, James, is so important because that's where, that's where they have a vested interest.
74:42
If you don't own anything and you only are in a renter society, then you're not committed to something.
AaronHOST
77:29
... tell us about that effort.
3:06
What is the number one issue facing this district right now?
3:12
Well, I think around the country, but especially in our district, the economy and affordability is always gonna be, you know, one of the most important issues.
3:19
You know, you look at the economy, you look at safety and protections, keeping our borders secure, um, making sure that we have confidence in our elections, and getting rid of fraud.
3:28
Like, those are the four things that I think are most important to people here in CD1 and in Arizona, and really around the country.
3:34
And, you know, those are the things that I wanna fight for, that I wanna make sure that we have an econom- an economy that works, that we do bring down, uh, the affordability crisis and costs for local consumers by getting rid of regulations, by creating real wage growth, and creating a better economy with better opportunities and better jobs, and lowering the cost of, of buying homes.
3:54
When you look at young people today, you know, the ability for them to buy a home, James, is so important because that's where, that's where they have a vested interest.
4:03
If you don't own anything and you only are in a renter society, then you're not committed to something.
AaronHOST
6:49
... tell us about that effort.
62:46
I think that's why a guy like you could be very well-suited to Congress if you were, in fact, uh, to win.
62:52
Well, I, I didn't know, Dan, that being a team player was such a, such an anomaly, uh, in DC.
62:57
[laughs] When I, when I got there and I started talking about, "Hey, I wanna help people.
63:00
I wanna make sure that we keep the House.
63:02
Anywhere you wanna send me around the country, if somebody needs help and I can help them raise money, I wanna do that." And, you know, they're like, "Oh, that's so refreshing to hear that.
63:10
We don't hear that very often." I was like, "Really?" Like, you know, you look at the two parties, they've never been further apart ideologically.
63:16
How are we not all on the same side? How are we, how are we not all fighting together, understanding what we're fighting against and where they wanna take our country? So, you know, for me, and, and just like you, it was, it was a willingness to set aside the broadcasting career.

15 MINS LATER

78:41
... you're gonna start to vote different.
9:54
Uh, what part did you, uh, find in college, and how did your faith find you to support the Jewish people as you've done so well, uh, since you've entered k- the public arena?
10:05
All right, Adam, I'll start with, you know, just the foundations of our country are, are on our Judeo-Christian values.
10:11
You know, that's what it was founded on.
10:12
It was founded on religious freedom and allowing people to come here and to practice their faith.
10:18
We, we have morphed into this belief that, you know, our country should be free from religion, not freedom of religion.
10:25
Uh, and so that's always been a big part of who I am.
10:28
I went to a, a Jesuit, uh, high school when I was i- in Tampa.

11 MINS LATER

21:06
I'm, I'm just curious how you would respond to that.
speaker_9UNKNOWN
22:58
So please welcome the great Jay Feeley.
23:37
I got to get the right podium first.
23:39
Thank you, JR and Danica, for being here.
23:42
I want to give it up to all.
23:43
We got a bunch of athletes that came out here, Arizona athletes.
23:45
Curt Schilling flew down for this.
23:47
Tom Chambers is down here.

11:48
Come on, give me something, Felly.
11:50
Yeah.
11:50
He's my favorite player.
11:51
I don't wanna see him go.
11:53
I totally understand that you gotta look out for the quarterback, but we need to keep him.
11:58
This is our year if he stays.
12:10
Would r- Max Crosby means that much to you, right?
12:13
Yeah.
speaker_1HOST
2:15
... where your district is.
2:16
Well, it's Scottsdale.
2:17
If you think of Scottsdale, it's Scottsdale, it's Fountain Hills, it's Paradise Valley, a little bit of Phoenix.
2:22
It's that area, kind of north Phoenix.
2:25
Um, it's a very affluent district that cares about the economy.
2:28
You know, they...
2:29
Over 50% of the people in that district have a college degree or more than a BA.
speaker_1HOST
4:58
I was gonna say
2:11
Give them kind of a feel of what you're what geographically your district is.
2:16
Well, it's Scottsdale.

If you think of Scottsdale, it's Scottsdale, it's Fountain Hills, it's Paradise Valley, a little bit of Phoenix.

It's a very affluent district that cares about the economy.

The vast majority are employed by private companies.
4:45
I mean, it's like
