Uh, by way of background, I, I grew up in the Pacific Northwest during the height of the fishing wars.

Uh, my grandparents fished for a living, and I grew up at the crack of dawn, uh, going out in a rickety fishing boat and with a hope and optimism that we would have some salmon.

That was my upbringing, and that was during a very turbulent time of the treaty fishing wars in the Pacific Northwest.

So I knew at eight years old what the words treaty abrogation meant, and I, I knew what it meant to our community, to, uh, tribes throughout the Pacific Northwest, and I aspired to wanna someday grow up to become an attorney.

And I, I ultimately did that.

Uh, I left home quite young.

Mm-hmm.

We've got to make this a real lived reality of economic cost for everybody, and it's absolutely a financial cost.

And I would, I would add to that.

I, I get inspired when I listen to, uh, to Dean.

Uh, he, he really makes me think about, um, the fact that, uh, we are on a, a dual time horizon here.

Uh, we need to adopt short-term innovation that includes our values, but we also need long-term systemic change.

And/or, second part of this very long question, and I'll remind you what the short one was at the end of it, are there things in the, like, in the next few months, the next twelve months, where you want to be heard and that you think you really could make a difference, and what are those? So where have you made a difference already? Where do you think, "Ah, finally someone's listened to us, and this happened"? And where do you want that to happen urgently in the next few months?The original, the short version of that question was, is anyone listening?
