I, uh, I've been the, the victim of a bad update recently.

so RuneScape scare.
An update for Old School RuneScape meant to introduce a new training arena ended up also introducing a bug that caused the game to skip steps in the usual post-death item retrieval process, um, and end up deleting those items instead.
Oh.
Players were also respawning inside of the boss arenas, causing them to just lose a lot of gear, because they're not able to recover the gear before dying a second time.
Oh.
Um, and players that lost their items, um, were able to get those items restored.
Ooh.
Um, but-

... my goodness.
goodness.... destroy me if-
