Okay, so this week in gaming news.
I'm going to take this first one because
I've
been the victim of a bad update recently.
So, Rootscape Scare.
An update for old-school RuneScape meant to introduce a new training arena ended up also introducing a bug that caused the game to skip steps in the usual post-death item retrieval process and end up deleting those items instead.
Players were also respawning inside of the boss arenas, causing them to just lose a lot of gear because they're not able to recover the gear before dying a second time.
Oh! JGOX has advised players to avoid doing any PVM content for the time being, and players that lost their items were able to get those items restored.
But, oh my goodness! Oh! That would destroy me.
Cold.
That'd be awful.
My
heart would just sink
into my feet.
Oh dear.
I would throw up.
I would
cry.
I've not played RuneScape in a very, very long time, but I remember the time and hours I invested in it.
And my heart breaks.
Hopefully they get that sorted and it never happens again.
Certainly.
Mac, do you want to take this next story?
Well, this is going to be quite interesting.
The Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering teams have announced that they are unionizing at Wizards of the Coast, joining the union formed by the Arena team earlier this year.
