Emily Patterson thought she knew what the dream was supposed to look like.
She was the shy girl who discovered theater, fell in love with acting, got cut from a high school show—and unexpectedly found directing instead. From there came rejection, side jobs, opportunities she didn't feel fully ready for, and a path she never could have planned.
