If you’ve been doing everything you know how to do to make a change, and nothing is changing, consider this: Maybe LESS is actually more. Maybe making progress is less about how much you can add…
And this idea is really born from something I've been doing recently that I avoided doing, I put off doing, I did not want to do.
I did everything that I could possibly do before I did this thing, but begrudgingly, reluctantly, angrily, [laughs] bitterly, I finally did it, um, which is to cut sugar out of my life.
First and foremost, I'll give a quick health update since I haven't done that in a while.
It was coming up through the vents of, um, from the crawl space up into the house, and I was being exposed over the course of the past several years since I moved into this house to toxic mold, unbeknownst to me, and it was causing all kinds of health problems.
They started slow at first, so I didn't really notice that it was going on, kind of like that frog in hot water theory, where I was having lots of respiratory infections, I had walking pneumonia, and then suddenly the symptoms became undeniable and unbearable.
It took me a really long time to figure out what was going on, and then once I finally honed in on the problem, it was like, "Oh, phew, thank goodness I don't have some terrible disease that's going to, you know, end my life sooner than later," which is honestly what I felt like.
The diagnosis that- The doctors were all kind of zeroing in on was MS, which I know is not a death sentence, but it certainly felt like the end of my life as I knew it.
And once we figured out it was mold, it was just like, "Oh, phew, such a relief." Okay.
Like, how can we detox my body from the mold? How can we rehab my body? I had lost a lot of muscle tone from just my neurons not firing properly to my legs, so I had, like, lost feeling in the bottom part of my legs from the knees down.
So I moved on to this phase that I have been in for the last six months or so, which is like, how can we detox my body and get back to a baseline? So I've been doing all kinds of things.
