But anyway, kind of in the spirit of getting momentum and being busy, this week's episode is about productive procrastination.
So I think we don't really talk about this type of procrastination because it feels like we're being really productive and basically we're preparing to do the thing instead of actually doing the thing.
Like I was talking about it on the phone to my friend today, actually, saying about how when I'm writing my to-do list, I will write like, DM this person.
And in the time that I have written that on my to-do list, I could have already just DM them
and called it a day and be done.
I have kind of touched on it a few times, but I've never really done a whole episode on it.
But I think that when we think of procrastination, we think of lying on the sofa or in bed, scrolling on TikTok when we know we have something to do.
And obviously, yes, that is procrastination, but sometimes it's Procrastination looks like making this really detailed plan and sometimes it looks like researching something for hours or watching 10 different videos on how someone else did it or even creating a spreadsheet or making a Pinterest board or ordering everything you think you need and writing and rewriting a to-do list because the first one wasn't quite right.
And then you get to the end of the day feeling like you've spent hours working towards something when you haven't even started it.
