Michelle Bader EbersoleHostIt was so real, this pain in my calf, and I thought I was dying, and I got really lightheaded, and I fell over.
And my poor daughter, Haley, who had just watched her dad die, three days later, Mom thinks she's dying.
She's praying for me, and I learned later that that was anxiety, and that was, um, part of my PTSD, I believe.
And I learned in this book, which I'm gonna find what it is, um, exactly called.
I'm just gonna read a quote from her book, and I do have permission to use it in my book.
"After the death of a loved one, many of the fears that run through your mind can be perceived as more of a threat than before your loss.
You have witnessed someone die now that inevitably is more real than ever before in your life.
So when you have a fear-based thought about your own mortality or a worry about losing someone else, your body and mind are reacting stranger than before you experienced loss." And especially if you have witnessed someone die, and that's why my anxiety shot through the roof, and that's why yours might be doing the same thing.
And I had no idea, and I just remember so many times that first six months thinking I was dying as well.
And so I just wanna encourage you that if you're having this anxiety, it doesn't have to stay there.
