10-15: Rockers Rebel: Politics Finally Out Of Entertainment?

What leads us to this question? Very big question.

W- a great question, uh, going back to the ways we used to be.

Remember you just used to-- You didn't, you didn't know.

Yeah, yeah, you maybe had an idea, but you didn't completely know how your favorite comedian or author or, uh, rock star or actor voted or who they hung out with.

You didn't really care.

It's just like, "Entertain me." That, that's wh- that's why I'm here.

Remember those days? And I've always looked at it like this.

I buy a concert ticket, a book, a streaming service, enter...

This is how I look at it.

This is how I do it.

Uh, this is what's worked for me.

I'm paying you, actor, rocker, entertainer, singer, to entertain me for whatever period of time it is.

And that's how I think we gotta look at this kind of stuff, is we all know, we've all talked about it, we've all made jokes about it.

I've de- certainly dedicated certain episodes to it.

Stop preaching from the stage.

Get your politics out of entertainment, right? We've all talked about it.

We've all realized, everybody, it's only common sense to say if you're actually making some sort of a fricking political statement, uh, you know, on a stage during a concert, you're alienating exactly half the audience.

We've all known this, right? But now here's what's different.

Here's what's truly different, like I said there just a couple of minutes ago.

Now you've got entertainers, in this case rockers, taking valuable concert time to make sure they're gonna tell you they will never, ever do that.

Kinda like a, kinda like a promise to the audience.

What really kicked this off, and I can't tell you how much I love this.

Metallica is now doing a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, which by the way, side note, looks incredible.

Boy, that, that may change the concert experience.

Not just them, just how the Sphere does it with the, with the audio visual presentation they give you.
