So you've built the product on 100% Robusta beans, which was not the status quo in the specialty coffee industry.

Maybe talk to us a bit around what drove that decision and how did you land on that as the base of the product set?

and so we really set out to find uh initially just a plantation that would grow robust out just like a fine arabica you know at high altitude shade grown uh sun dried hand-picked and so we we visited you know hundreds of coffee plantations and and then finally found uh what we were looking for and and the result was incredible because you had this very very different product all of a sudden you know uh of course you know twice the caffeine and and higher protein for for a much thicker and richer crema when you brew it as an espresso and lower acidity and that's kind of what most people know about robusta versus arabica but also very different taste profile you know uh flavors a lot closer to dark chocolate and walnut rather than kind of citrus and floral notes that you get in Arabica.

Robusta really punches through the milk when you have it as a latte or a flat white, which is how most

And so that complexity of flavor that you find in Arabica actually most often gets lost in the milk anyway.

But in a way, who cares what we thought was important to us? What do people think? And what do our customers say? And when they drink it, do they think it tastes great and want more of it? Uh, cause that's really the only thing that matters.

And so, you know, fortunately we never looked back on that and, you know, we launched Robusta revival on day one of the venture.

We went completely against that trend and became the kind of de facto black sheep of the coffee industry, particularly the specialty coffee industry.

And if you see everybody doing something and you don't think it makes sense, go out and do something different.

Often people talk about a unique insight from a founder point of view is what will help determine.

Obviously, execution is usually important to get to global scale, but that unique insight initially to get that product market fit or get that initial oomph in the business.

You've just talked about it there, right? You've gone pretty deep in terms of taste profiles, how people actually drink their coffee.
