on this episode we're going to be speaking about building mental toughness and that is something that is incredibly important to me um i think when i just think about the story of my life you know i think in able to if you're wanting to achieve something if you're wanting to overcome something if you're wanting to complete something if you're wanting to get to the end of something you are going to be required right to have a sense of mental toughness because it is asking of you to I don't know, I guess cultivate something out of you you've never had to before, right? You're becoming someone you've never had to before.
Things that are difficult, things that are hard, things that are tough, things that are challenging, things that are outside of our comfort zone and all of that kind of stuff.
They don't want to put themselves in a position where they have to make uncomfortable decisions and conversations and have uncomfortable conversations and all of that kind of stuff.
But I think that when you have mental toughness, you're able to bring yourself to a place where even though it's hard, even though it's tough, You can put yourself in that position.
And I think it's people that are able to do the hard things, right, that are able to achieve more in life and all of that kind of stuff.
Resilient through... just the worst kind of circumstances through obstacles and all of that kind of stuff being able to be resilient through challenges that keep you that you're faced with on your journey on the goal that you're trying to you know get to and all that kind of stuff it's having that determination to get through because you're resilient enough to overcome you're resilient enough to to persevere right and i think that's my next point is like mental toughness is your ability to endure Endure even when it gets messy.
Endure even when you have to adapt and persevere through a different circumstance and all of that kind of stuff.
It's having the mental toughness to be able to just reroute, to be able to adjust your plans and all of that kind of stuff.
to be able to, even if it means that we now take longer to get to where we want to be, you know, we're enduring that journey because it's like, we're still, the goal is still the same, you know, the results that we want are still the same and stuff.
Even if it means now we have to take a different route, a harder route, a longer route and all of that kind of stuff.
It's like, okay, I'm going to put myself in a position to be able to withstand, right? It's increasing your bandwidth and your tolerance for hard things.
your bandwidth and your tolerance for maybe pain, right? Because of your understanding that it's temporary pain for long-term gains and all of that kind of stuff.
And I think why also we should be in the pursuit of having mental toughness is that it makes us better at problem solving, you know, our ability to find solutions to circumstances that come to us that are unfavorable, circumstances that come to us that just need us to think outside of the box and all of that kind of stuff.
And You have to be mentally tough to be able to see outcomes, right? To see outputs and all of that kind of stuff.
