So, Steve, you came to me with an idea for for a show.
And I like this idea and I like it because it's specifically we're two white guys who are going to be giving our opinions on things that we don't really know too much about other than we have consumed content, which is what 90 percent of the Internet is now.
So we're slotting this in very well.
But tell me tell me what this idea is that you had.
So I was thinking, like, I don't know where it started, but it was more, it was thinking about, like, if you, like, what, if it was, like, a director or if it was, like, a musician or something like that, but thinking about, like, what, if you had to, like, represent, you know what it actually was? It was, like, making a playlist on Spotify.
And I'm definitely, like, a completist when it comes to that stuff.
And it's, like, you got to have rules for a playlist.
Like, if you're going to make a playlist, can you put, songs by the same artists on the playlist? Can you put like songs from the same album? Do you need like different genre representation? Like those are all things I'm thinking about when I'm trying to, you know, not watch my small toddler child.
She's watching this, Rachel.
This is her prime time for you to be in
So then, yeah, just thinking about what's one, if I had to boil down the best Radiohead song.
If I had to show someone a Radiohead song and say this is the Radiohead song or this is the Michael Mann.
Out of all the Michael Mann movies, this is the Michael Mann-liest.
That represents kind of the whole...
most representative
right the top the magnum opus the top thing that's there they're right whatever their whatever their best work is and and i also want to kind of clarify some things so because we're going to do steven spielberg and we're going to do only things that he's directed i don't know i don't know what an executive producer is but he's been involved he's been involved with a lot of a lot of movies and a lot of tv shows yeah uh in many different ways but we're going to stick to the ones right Yeah, it's, you know, Steven Spielberg movies, everybody's seen at least one, right? Like, we're going to go through all of the movies, and especially people our age.
Like, maybe the younger crowd hasn't seen some Steven Spielberg stuff, but, like, I've certainly shown my kid Jurassic Park.
I wish that I could have shown her Hook.
She was not into Hook, but... you know, older, uh, older people, our age, you know, the middle age set, which is a lot of what we have here.
We have seen a lot of these movies and we, you sent me a list.
And so I think what we're going to do is we're going to scrub through this list once, and we're going to pick out movies that either that movies that neither one of us have seen, because I'm sure you're, you're much more of a movie head than I am, but I'm sure there's things on here that neither of us have seen.
And then we can probably assume those things aren't going to be, you know, Something you wouldn't call like Spielberg's magnum opus.
Right.
All the movies on here that I haven't seen are not ones that I ever see people like, oh, you got to watch Sugarland Express.
