WH40k Book Club Episode #179 – Armageddon: Season of Fire by Jude Reid

As always, Carrie, did you like the book?

I really did.

I really enjoyed this book.

And only half of it was because the narrators were so great.

I actually did not do the audio book.

I just read this one.

I really enjoyed it.

I really did like it.

I thought that the narrative structure was really interesting.

It essentially reads, we'll talk more about that here in a second.

I really enjoyed it though.

I thought it was, which was a shock because there were a lot of characters in here that I was like, oh, really? Oh, no, that's actually pretty interesting.

As always, what part stood out to

you?

Probably the biggest part that stood out to me was kind of a spoiler.

So hopping into that really quickly.

I liked the fact of Ambrosius' son.

When you find out that his son is actually a librarian for the Blood Angels and he wasn't psychic food for the emperor.

That just is like, oh, that's just a sweet little thing in there.

You know, his dad obviously never got to know that.

But I loved that little revelation in there.

You know, one thing I have to say, I'm so glad we read Pirates of Armageddon somewhat recently.

Just because of learning about the planetary governor.

And really what a piece of shit he was back at the Ark.

And he still is.
