Ryan RadtkeThe Phillies are down to their final out in Atlanta, the Braves leading six to two in a deciding game three of the NL Wild Card.
Meanwhile, in Cleveland, big old Darnell Washington, he a Georgia Bulldog, caught a touchdown pass for the Steelers, two-point try unsuccessful.
But let's actually get things started by talking about a player that at this time yesterday was still technically a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, now is a Dallas Cowboy.
His first media availability as a Cowboy, and this is really the big takeaway to have.
Joey Porter Jr. isn't worth the draft picks or the attention that he has received throughout this week.
The draft picks that were given to Pittsburgh to bring him to Dallas, the attention he's being paid, mostly because it involves the Cowboys, he's not worth.
He demonstrated this during his first media availability, wearing the star on the side of his helmet.
Remember, this is a guy who hasn't played in any of the Steelers' first three games due to, air quotes, "a lingering back issue".
It was an injury that flared up conveniently after the first training camp practice.
And then again, after he practiced twice this week, yesterday, apparently this was the final straw, he had the back issue flare up again.
So naturally, the back was something that came up when he met with reporters today, and here's how that sounded.
What was your mental through all of this? It can be tough out there when you're looking for a new contract.
Yeah.
You're not playing.
Of course, your back is fine here.
Yeah.
[laughs]
What, what's it, what's it-
[laughs]
What is it back really?
