I'm recording this episode with my house full of moving boxes, less than 72 hours before a cross-country move I didn't expect to make this fast. That kind of chaos has a way of cutting through the…
Laura Park-FigueroaHostI want to in this episode talk about really getting in touch with what you want in your own life and what you want for your business and being willing to make decisions in your business that get you closer to that ideal dream of what you want your life to look like so I chose to do this topic for this episode because this move to san diego is one of those things that has been kind of a desire of my heart for a long time maybe not specifically san diego but i love california i loved living there i lived there for 14 years and um We have been in Madison to be near my husband's parents for the last five years, and neither of us really wanted to stay here long term.
And I think that has caused a lot of just questioning in our own relationship of like, what do we really want for the rest of our lives now that we are in kind of middle and later age here? So this idea of following your dreams and thinking about what you really want is something that this move has sort of brought up in me because I'm realizing how excited and how light I feel, even though it's very stressful to plan a cross-country move and a move as quickly as we're doing it.
I do think that it feels fun and light because it is something that I know I really want and that I want for my family.
We're moving really to be closer to her and closer to the branches of my business that are the main focus of my business or the main revenue producers in my business in the Bay Area there.
This move has brought up a lot of thinking for me about what do I want my business to look like and what do I want the future to look like specifically for Well Women business, which really isn't a business yet.
And along the lines of feeling light, I am keeping it light and fun by treating it like a hobby that I'm very committed to.
It's almost like exercising, right? So I am recording this podcast, even though I have a lot of other things to do today to get ready to leave in 72 hours, which is nuts that we're leaving in less than 72 hours at this point.
And one of the things that kind of fell away when I really narrowed in on what do I want Well Women business to be was this idea of... a mastermind.
I had originally planned for Well Women Business to be like a community, a mastermind coaching program where we would all coach one another and be in community together, but we're all paying to be part of the community.
