We’re Tired… The REALITY of Running a Wedding Business

I think there's going, there's a silver lining in all this because we normally, for as long as we've been doing this in Arizona, we expect a certain number of weeks where we get kind of like a breaks quote unquote in the summer.

And it's always stressful either way.

But for however many years that it's been up until just recently, you know, you get that kind of break in the summer where you can maybe just like stress out about having to book people in order to get your way or maybe travel a little bit.

But for the most part, it's been like, okay, I'm going to catch up on my editing.

I'm going to just go to the office.

I'm going to work more of like a nine to five schedule during the summer.

Yeah.

Whereas this last summer, It might have been more of a glimpse into what our lives might be from here on out where it was just really, really busy.

Just a steady constant.

But except of local stuff where we're used to driving to and from Scottsdale or wherever it may be in Arizona, we were flying to all these different places.

And so we've had a more gradual – um, trajectory into the travel, uh, into the travel world when it, like in the travel space and the travel, a destination, I want to say destination wedding world.

And so I think what's going to be happening in the future, I, it's been totally opposite, at least from what I see for, for next year.

Normally when I'm looking at my calendar, when I'm looking at my books for the following, for the, for the, for the next year, um, my fall and my spring are looking pretty good and my summer is pretty empty and I'm waiting to see what's gonna happen that summer.

It's opposite now.

My summer is actually pretty well booked up and the fall and the spring are not quite booked up just yet.

So it was definitely adjustment this last year to kind of be expecting that lull only for it to be just as busy.

The silver lining that I'm getting to is that I feel as though, because the summer was so insanely busy, I'm looking at my current fall season, not next year, but my current, and it doesn't seem as busy

as my summer just was.

So I think comparatively speaking and by comparison, I'm kind of holding my breath ready for the fall.

I feel like I'm going into it totally primed because of the crazy whirlwind that was the summer that I don't think I will feel as though like much had like a huge contrast and increase of hustle and bustle because even during the fall, I'm staying local.

Yeah.

And it might feel easier than in, than in, than in wedding seasons past to be going into this wedding season.

Yeah,

it is.

That is a nice thing.
