Trump Accounts, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, inflation, and self-improvement all have something in common: the question of how much we should rely on government—and how much we should rely on…
And I do agree that our times right now are difficult and we, we should be able to have them easier.
I mean, the, the past, you know, people talk about past generations and, Some of them say that they had it easier, you know, in the 50s, 60s, 70s.
And just with how much access we have to different like entertainment and things to do, our schedules are super busy.
And we do have more bills because we've come up with new things to have to pay for, like cell phones.
Everybody has air conditioning now or almost everybody, whereas, you know, back 70 years ago nobody had air conditioning so there we have bills that have accumulated we have different things people used to wash their clothes by hand we now have washers and dryers those have to be maintained they have to be purchased they have to be built so we do have more expenses with the modern world but the problem that i see is very different than what most people um you know are led to believe whereas it's just the government hasn't provided enough for us or the corporations aren't paying enough and there's there's overall economic principles that are at play that i discuss in you know basically each episode i try to go over uh you know one or two topics and I try to lay out how this is affected by the overall system and how that affects the overall system.
Each topic that I discuss, you know, such as welfare or minimum wage or corporations being greedy, whatever it is, and I do believe that the corporations are greedy and that there are massive corporations that are influencing our politics.
You know, they're willing to basically do anything to make more money and gain more power.
The problem is if we try to use the government to stop that, we end up giving the government more power.
That's the main point of this podcast is to try to get a third party into politics that actually has some kind of chance.
Even local politics are dominated by Democrats and Republicans and the Democrats and Republicans actually fund these local races.
And the third parties have almost no chance because they have to find funding somehow.
You get an independent here and there, you get a third party candidate that makes it here and there.
But overall, they barely make it in any national races, even in local races, it's almost all Democrats and Republicans.
