*What if true inclusion wasn’t about checking boxes… but about creating workplaces where people feel seen, safe, and valued?* ## ✨ Episode Summary I’m excited to welcome **Celeste Warren** to…
Celeste WarrenGuestWelcome back to Voices of Impact, the podcast where we go beyond success stories to uncover the identity shifts, courageous decisions, and leadership lessons that create the lasting impact.
So I'm your host, Veena, identity-led coach and strategic consultant, and today we're diving into one of the most leadership conversations of our time.
So when we hear the words diversity, equity, and inclusion, many people immediately think of like policies or initiatives and corporate programs.
But what if true inclusion isn't something we implement, but it's more something we embody, right? It's an interesting question.
So what if the leaders who create the strongest cultures aren't simply just checking boxes, but intentionally building environments where people really feel safe to contribute, right? And respected for who they are and empowered to thrive.
Today's guest has spent decades helping organizations answer exactly those questions.
I'm honored to welcome Celeste Warren.
She's a visionary executive, TEDx speaker, author, and former vice president and chief diversity inclusion officer for a global Fortune 100 organization where she spent 28 years leading transformational change.
During her decade leading the Global Diversity Inclusion Center of Excellence, she's helped shape enterprise-wide strategies that embedded equity, belonging, inclusion into the fabric of business.
Today, though, so she's the founder of Celeste Warren Consulting.
She continues to partner with organizations and leaders to create those cultures rooted in trust, accountability, and psychological safety.
So very important in this day and age.
What I appreciate most about Celeste's work is that she reminds us that inclusion, it's like not a department, but it's not like a checklist, as mentioned.
It's really reflected in these everyday choices.
It's found in how we listen, how we create opportunities, and how we navigate difficult decisions, and ultimately how we make people feel.
And that's very important in the day age of AI and automations, right? So as workplaces continue to evolve, With rising burnout, rapid technological change, as I mentioned, multi-generational teams and increasing complexity, leaders are being called to lead with greater EQ, empathy, and courage than ever before.
So it's not just for HR leaders, it's for everyone.
It's for founders, executives, entrepreneurs, managers.
For startup founders like me, I'm also building a team that's rooted in culture, so it's for everyone.
So anyone who wants to build organizations where people perform because they belong, not because they're afraid to speak up, right? So there's a difference.
course.
