I’m (Metroid) Ravenous for Ocarina of Time

Metroid Ravenous is a sequel to Metroid Dread, which is itself the fifth 2D Metroid game.

And it's launching in January.

It was announced this week at the second Nintendo Direct.

And if you've been playing 2D Metroid since the NES...

Raise your hand.

How about the Super NES? Raise your hand.

Game Boy Advance? Raise your hand.

I missed a couple of them though.

I missed a 3DS one, which apparently was delivered by the developer who's making Metroid Dread, which came out in 2021, which I also missed.

I was aware of it.

I heard about it.

I was like, oh, it's like a Metroid horror game.

No, thank you.

Like, that's not for me.

I just kind of like blocked it out because of the name.

I was like, I don't think it's for me.

It's very much for me, as it turns out, because all the emphasis on this brand new Ravenous game, which Samus Aran apparently is going to be able to absorb the power of their energy, of their abilities.

She's talking a lot more.

I don't know who the voice actor is.

I think we've heard her talk a couple of times over the decades, since the 80s, but it's not often.

And she's narrating this whole thing, apparently.

So that's cool.

And it made me go, man, I guess, I guess, I guess I'll have to boot up the Metroid Dread demo I downloaded like five years ago and never opened and transferred from my Switch 1 to my Switch 2.

I should really pop this thing open because Metroid Ravenous looks insane in a good way.

Like good, good and sane.
