[gentle music] Nearly 100 years before it was Four Peaks, the brick building was originally the F.A. Huff Ice Plant.
Soon after, the ice plant evolved into a creamery, and by 1927, the building was on its third owner.
According to the Tempe Historic Register, the Borden Milk Company brought the building into the modern era.
By 1953, though, the facility had shut down and the building was desolate until Four Peaks came around in the mid-1990s.
When I confirmed this timeline with Carter Nacke, resident ghost expert and pub events manager at Four Peaks, the ghost meter in the room we were in went wild.
The Four Peaks crew has been able to communicate with the ghosts through their many devices from this time period.
We have had interactions, though, asking, like, "Where do you work?" And it'll, like, the different devices will say, "Creamery." Um, when we were talking to Anthony once, it was actually really cool.
We asked him when he died and, um, we asked him, like, we're using dowsing rods to do it.
And we went, "Okay, if you died 1933, who's the president?" And then on a Spirit Box it was, like, Roosevelt.
And immediately we were like, whoa, that's, that's really cool that he just confirmed [laughs] that information, then he got the president right.
