And we begin with some Europe news, as the European countries are delaying the new entry/exit border checks.

Uh, it's past the, um, delay period, uh, the, the temporary pause period, but, uh, they've been given approval.

This is France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland have reportedly been allowed to delay full enforcement of the European Union's entry/exit system, uh, potentially easing the concerns about longer border waits for travelers, uh, so they can maintain border fluidy, uh, fluidity.

Uh, no new deadline or full enforcement was announced for any of this.

Uh, Jen, your thoughts on this whole Europe's border mess, uh, storyline this summer?

Well, listen, it's kind of like similar things that have happened, uh, when we try to implement things in the United States.

If you remember, the Real ID, uh, was supposed to come and come and come and come-

[laughs]

... and they just kept delay, delay, delay.

Yep.

And the good news is it's because, uh, the airports and the authorities recognize that the ease of getting passengers through these airports and into their countries and crossing into the, um, the transfer companies or companies' countries is really important because, quite frankly, it causes massive delays and extra work on everybody's part, and stress, stress that's not necessary.

So kudos to them-

Yeah

... for delaying it.

Um, but that's good.

Agreed.

It's good they're delaying it.

[laughs]

Agreed.

Yeah, you know, technology moves fast, but you gotta be careful with it.

Uh, and y- you know, d- this situation has been unfortunate this summer, for sure.

A lot of, a lot of headaches around there, so it is good that they're recognizing that, you know, we, we need this, uh, to not b- be this right now, and maybe, maybe we pushed it out a little bit too soon, as, as many companies and, uh-

And it, it's a, it's a trickle-down-

... because then hotel rooms get canceled, you know-
