Dominika AsareGuestYeah, that works well.

So yeah, so for, for the viewers as well, estrogen, which is the, you know, female hormone, it's not just a reproductive hormone, but we should also note that it's this major driver of, uh, your skin structure.

So we have estrogen on something that's called fibroblasts, and these are those, like, cells that they produce your collagen and some elastin.

So we've got that estrogen, the hormone, that as we go into peri and post-menopause, that hormone declines.

So now we've got this estrogen that's responsible for skin hydration, elastin, collagen, and then now suddenly we hit 40s, maybe 50s, perimenopause starts.

And because we've got less estrogen, also those, you know, those tissues, your collagen, your elastin, their production's gonna drop because we don't have as much estrogen, and it's gonna continue to drop.

S- Like some stats, and I think this is, uh... it's gonna show you the level of [laughs] issue here.

The research shows that 30 bloody percent of dermal collagen is lost in the first five years after menopause.

And then, as if that wasn't bad enough, [laughs] then we lose about 2% of collagen per year for the next 15 years.

So you can really see how major impact menopause has on your skin, on the collagen production.
Right.
Yeah, it's already sounding like a nightmare.
It doesn't sound like a story.
But let's go.
[laughs]
