Kat GriffithsGuestSo this is one of our Keys from the Golden Vault, uh, adventures in which all of our, our characters are operatives of the Golden Vault, a shadowy, uh, organization that looks to right wrongs and maintain order in the world.
Um, often their team operates, uh, out of the small city of Varkend Bluff, but their adventures take them far and, uh, far, up, up and down the Sword Coast.
We start our adventure, [lip smacks] you're in a carriage, uh, driven by one of the faceless, nameless operatives of the Golden Vault.
And, uh, you have, have just, uh, the, the, the six of you and one dog have, are crowded in the back of a, of, of the carriage as it's kind of rattling across some pretty rough, uh, roads, uh, in the wilderness, uh, quite a way's travel from Varkend Bluff, uh, as you ha- have, uh, reached the point where you know it is time to, uh, place a golden key into a magic box and hear your mission briefing.
[lip smacks] The voice, uh, in the box speaks to you as such, "Greetings, operatives.
The city of Galaseine is under a terrible curse, and the Golden Vault has learned that an evil spellcaster is behind it.
[lip smacks] We believe it is someone who was once an advisor to King Jaros, now using the king's heart to power a ritual that is devastating the city and killing its people.
We believe that stopping the ritual will restore the city and its people, but it will require you to enter the city and retrieve the king's still-beating heart.
You'll gain further information from an operative named Navus, former guard captain for King Jaros, on the outskirts of Galaseine.
Good luck." [lip smacks] As your, uh, your, your carriage rattles over the co- kind of country roads in the somewhat rural area, it kinda comes around a bend in the hills, and you see a probably, uh, I don't know, you've been, y- some of you have lived a life, [laughs] a strange sight in the distance, uh, which is, uh, surrounded by kind of blighted farmlands, is the image of a castle, uh, that is slowly being pulled upward piece by piece into a swirling kind of purple black hole vortex.
